Baptism and Blessing

We had a very special weekend a few days ago. Taylor turned 8 and was baptised on Saturday and Kari was blessed on Sunday. We had a lot of family come and we had so much fun spending time together. Thanks to everyone who shared those special days with us.
Aunt Marci and all her nieces and nephews. They all love her so much and she is tons of fun.

Kaylee, Bailey, Christian and Kira are good buddies

Christian and Kira love their cousin Madisen. Wherever Madisen was you could usually find Kira there with her.

Grandparents are so special and you can never give them too many hugs.

Dancers

Bailey, Taylor, and Madisen love to dance. This was the night of their christmas recital.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble!
Emrie went in to wake up Taylor from a nap and ended up falling asleep with her. Staying up late, playing with cousins is exhausting!

While at grandma and grandpa Sorenson's for Thanksgiving, we all dressed up for family pictures. The only problem was that the day was cold. Brrr!

Kari

Our little Kari Bella is 2 months old now. Time goes by so fast! Kari hasn't been the easiest baby. She seems to have a tummyache all the time so prefers being held with her little legs tucked up to her. So, I don't get much done. Dinner often means sticking something frozen in the oven or opening a can. Nobody has complained yet. We love our sweet baby and wouldn't trade her for the world! She gives great big smiles now and Emrie loves it when Kari "talks" to her.

lipstick

Emrie found Bailey's make-up left unattended on the bathroom counter so she went ahead and "borrowed" it. A girl's gotta have her lipstick on.

Cootie Bug

my mom was so sweet to stay with the girls while Bret and I went to his engineer conference. Well, Bret went to the conference while I went shopping. Grandma is lots of fun and even plays cootie bug!

The Carters stayed with us a few weeks ago for Kassidy's volleyball tournament. The girls had so much fun playing with their cousin, Tyler! What a pile-up!

Halloween

I know, I'm a little behind. I haven't quite gotten a routine down having 5 kids, especially because our little Kari is such a fussy baby.
Halloween was fun for our little trick-or treaters, a cowgirl, pumpkin, Miley Cirus, little bear, and cheerleader. Amazingly, they all still have candy left!

Fall is one of our favorite times of the year. The weather is just right. We drove out to a place called Maple Grove to see all the beautiful colors. The girls had fun gathering leaves to take home and going for a short hike in the great outdoors. HAPPY FALL

Bret is such a great daddy. He got his backgraound check done this year so that he could go on the girls' field trips. Last month, he went with Madisen and the 5th grade to Thanksgiving Point and BYU. This month he got to go to the pumpkin patch with Bailey and her kindergarten class.
Riding in the cramped seats on the school bus wasn't too pleasant but he got to spend some quality time with his girls.
Later, we went out to the pumpkin patch as a family for a hay ride and some big carving pumpkins.

Kari is already 3 weeks old. She has not just 1 but 5 mommies to take care of her. She will never have a lack of attention that's for sure.
Emrie is a wonderful big sister to Kari. So far we haven't had any major jealousy problems. She is the first one to try to comfort Kari when she is crying and smothers her with hugs and kisses all day long (sometimes a little too much smothering).

Surrounded by PINK

Our 5th addition is, not surprisingly, another girl. Daddy is surrounded by pink. He says he is going to have to build his shop alot sooner. Some say "poor guy" but we say he is so lucky.
